Today i visited the international Spring Fair in the NEC, Birmingham. It is an absolute huge show with all different kind of areas such as jewellery, gift and stationary and home wear, I enjoyed it but was also a bit disappointed as it wasn't as good as my previous visit the year before. There wasn't as many individual designer makers, it was more commercial and big companies selling there products. It was good to see how professionals dressed and showed their stands and see how they dealt with customers. However i wasn't really inspired by any individual or company, nothing really stood out it was all very similar, if we did find an individual designer maker they would have one design in different colour ways all over different products which i found everyone was doing - it was good to see the range of products and their stand but i feel their creativity behind designs lacked! - Its important to be different and stand out in the crowds :)
