Name Logo

I Have spent most of my day today working and developing my name logo, i started by saving a number of different fonts that i liked and then chosen my favourite two, which was the one i had from level two which i was going to develop and the next font i had to start from scratch, Here is my developed old one and the font i liked best out of my search

To my old developed logo i added what is supposed to represent stitch and bugs that i had drew to develop my old logo and take that further, i like it but i think its nice to start a fresh and work on something new so i decided to stick with the font i had found, i chosen this font because i though it would be interesting to add images of my work or colour pallet inside the letters

Here is a final design with images of my work inside the letters and also images of floating bugs on the letters to make it a bit more interesting

I really like this design for my logo and think it works well, however just to see and experiment a few more different ways i had a play on photo shop and illustrator to develop it further, i decided to develop it by adding the stitching and bugs from my old developed logo into my new font which worked really well...

I also experimented with placing bugs and background behind my name to see what effects that gave

I havent decided yet which one i will use i do like a couple of them but i will have to see which relates most to my work and represents me as an artist :) Hope you like them!

Colour Direction

I chose these colours for my wallpaper colour direction from WGSN trend forecasting website. I think they would work well on a wall as a statement wall as the pastel light colours will work great against the dark colours.

I chosen these colours from the same website WGSN but for my fashion or printed fabric range as i think the dark and bright colours will work well together to create stunning pieces and designs

Long Time No See

hello ! well, its a new semester and its time to develop and move on from my last module! after a very long hard working christmas and new year with only three days off in the holidays from my job i'm finally getting back into my routine of researching, and drawing and finally now blogging my progression :)

Looking back at my last module, i was extremely pleased with my final outcomes and designs, however the things i have decided to develop to take my work to another level is my colour pallet, choosing a contemporary colour pallet is one of the most important things for my work to develop. Also looking at design structures and placements of designs as mine where all pretty much similar in my last module. Also it all depends on my final products and what i will be deciding to produce. Its very hard as i don't like to limit myself so at the moment i want to do a bit of everything, but i need to think about how that will work and look for my final show.

I Have been looking and researching into how a few designers or students display their final shows to give me a few ideas
Last Years Students Stand At New Designers
I like how this show has a theme running throughout but seems a cit to cluttered
I think its a really good idea how this student has hung her fabric samples on a rail so people can look through whilst they hang nicely on the rail

Craig Fellows Show love how his stand is clean and simple but very eye catching - Click Image To Go To His Website
